James Butler is a freshman at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He is part of the Academic Honor Council, Black Student Union, PRIDE (the LGBTQ organization at the university), and was a Skyline Scholar. He also got a prestigious scholarship and was recognized as a Murchison scholar. He also has a campus job working at the campus' Information Technology Services as a Student Technical Support Associate. In August, the Texas Education Agency certified him as an Educational Aide 1. He is from Houston, Texas, and plans to double major in English and Communication with a minor in Education leading up to a Master of Arts in Teaching. He has a podcast called Rap It Out. He's looking forward to the growth and development of the education field and pathway. He's volunteered with UPchieve, Learn To Be, Tutoring Chicago, and Tutorly. He is excited to be a role model for all students and help them wherever life takes them. I also have a different Tuesday and Thursdays schedule where I go later and arrive to work at 4pm but still depart at 6pm.
