I am epileptic and although my epilepsy is well controlled, I choose to not drive for the safety of myself and others. Unfortunately, RTD doesn’t recognize epilepsy as a qualifying disability for Access A Ride (their disability services. This means I spend an average of 6 hours daily commuting, assuming everything goes correctly. RTD simply isn’t reliable enough and I’ve been stranded on several occasions. I am an instructor at Red Rocks Community College and am requesting rides to or from somewhere close to the campus.
